Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral to visit BodyPlan?

For most of our appointments a referral is not required (eg body composition). However, for appointments that attract a Medicare rebate you will need a referral (aka request form) – dietetics and exercise physiology consultations and bone mineral densitometry.
We accept ALL referrals.

Do I need an appointment?

Yes, you can book online for a number of services or phone our friendly team on (07) 3627 2711.

What if I need to reschedule my appointment?

A cancellation fee will be charged if notice is not provided 24 hours prior to your appointment.
It is important to recognise that there are often other clients who would appreciate an earlier appointment. By giving us adequate notice (i.e. 24 hours) we are able to accommodate your wishes and theirs.

When should I arrive for my appointment?

Please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment. This allows our team to prioritise your registration and ensure we keep your appointment to time. We feel this is particularly important when you have prepared for a study.

What paperwork should I bring with me?

Do I need any special preparation for my test?

Will private health insurance cover my test?

Some studies are covered but this depends on your Fund and policy.
Feel free to talk to one of our friendly team members to confirm the billing codes that will be applied to your visit, as this information may be helpful when you contact your private insurance company to clarify your level of cover.

How long will my study take?

With the exception of Bone Mineral Densitometry (BMD), testing results will be available immediately. BMD results will be available for your referring doctor approximately 2 hours after your visit.

How much will it cost?
